What is the Redlands Police Community Foundation?
The Redlands Police Community Foundation (RPCF) is a non-profit organization in the City of Redlands with the sole purpose of providing additional support to the Redlands Police Department. Its mission is to improve the quality of life for the community by developing programs and/or improving existing programs and relationships between the Police and the community.
The RPCF is guided by a Board of Directors composed of community members who help raise funds for Police community services and programs that are not funded by the Police budget. The Board develops and implements the mission, priorities, and goals for program activities, monitors program performance, evaluates effectiveness of efforts, and seeks grants and donations. The Board works with the leadership of the
Redlands Police Department to ensure the Foundation’s priorities and objectives align with those of the department.

Helping beyond the General Fund
The Foundation supports needs for which government funds are not readily available and provides a funding source outside the scope of the general municipal budget. The Foundation’s main focus includes the operational expenses of the Redlands Police Department’s Citizen Volunteers, which are NOT funded by the City’s General Fund, and which depend solely on donations.
The Foundation also helps fund current and future youth programs and activities organized by the Department, the Police K-9 Unit (trained police dogs), the purchase of specialized equipment, officer wellness programs, employee recognition initiatives, and other priorities as set by the Board. This assists the Redlands Police Department’s leadership efforts in law enforcement and community outreach.
